Automation and Implementation Specialist
Remote (Latin America-based)
Compensation: $4,400–$5,500 USD/month (open to higher for strong senior profiles)
Full-time, Eastern Time overlap, Contractor
Tech Stack: WordPress/other CMSs (e.g., Shopify), help desk/ticketing tools, no-code/low-code tools (Zapier, Make, webhooks), automation/integration platforms
At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing digital agency in the WordPress and web services space, expanding by acquiring smaller companies. They focus on delivering high-quality website, support, and digital operations services, and are building scalable, reliable systems for their customers across multiple brands.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an Automation and Implementation Specialist who blends strong hands-on execution with clear communication. You’ll work directly with the Managing Director to plan and implement system improvements and integrations for newly acquired companies, with a focus on support operations, workflows, and automation. This is a highly practical, implementation-heavy role where you’ll turn strategic ideas into working systems while minimizing disruption to teams and customers.
You Will:
Own hands-on implementation of tools, workflows, and systems for newly acquired businesses, especially around support/ticketing and operations.
Configure and optimize help desk/ticketing platforms and related processes to meet internal standards.
Design, build, and maintain no-code/low-code automations (Zapier, Make, webhooks) to connect systems and streamline workflows.
Translate high-level requirements into concrete technical plans, timelines, and execution steps.
Work across multiple brands, switching between projects and maintaining/improving existing setups over time.
Identify risks and edge cases before changes, propose solutions, and document systems and flows clearly.
About You:
Your Background:
Solid experience in technical operations, automation, systems integration, or a similar role in a digital, ecommerce, or agency environment.
Strong, hands-on skills with SaaS tools, workflows, and operational systems (you enjoy configuring and implementing, not just designing).
Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress and/or Shopify (deep WordPress experience is a plus, not a strict requirement).
Familiarity with help desk/support or ticketing tools and processes.
Demonstrated experience with no-code/low-code tools (Zapier, Make, webhooks) to automate and connect systems.
Excellent communication skills in English — able to work closely with a non-developer stakeholder and explain technical concepts simply.
Self-directed, proactive, and ownership-driven; comfortable working independently with one main stakeholder and limited broader team involvement.
Able to manage ambiguity, handle multiple projects, and stay organized across brands and systems.
Nice to Have:
Experience in WordPress-focused businesses, website support/maintenance, or digital agencies.
Background in ecommerce or digital marketing environments.
Exposure to post-acquisition systems/process integration.
Prior experience setting up or refining customer support operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $4,400–$5,500 USD/month (mid-level target; open to higher for exceptional candidates)
Benefits: Fully remote work and flexible PTO.
