About the Role:
We’re looking for a Data Engineer / Data Ops Engineer with strong hands-on experience building pipelines from scratch and improving data reliability at scale. This person will help design, build, monitor, and optimize core data workflows, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and dependable. This role requires someone proactive, technically strong, and comfortable taking ownership of both execution and problem-solving.
You Will:
Build data pipelines from scratch and improve existing workflows
Design, monitor, and maintain ETL / ELT processes
Set up and improve monitoring and alerting systems for pipeline health
Identify issues quickly and perform root cause analysis to solve data problems effectively
Support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to end users
Improve reliability, scalability, and operational quality across data workflows
Communicate technical decisions and pipeline architecture clearly to stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to improve data processes and support business needs
About You:
Your Background:
Strong experience in data engineering or data ops roles
Proven experience building pipelines from scratch
Strong hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis
Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and serving data to end users
Excellent English communication skills in a distributed environment
Spanish is a nice to have / preferred
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership
Able to work through ambiguity and improve processes with limited guidance
Nice to Have:
Experience with tools such as Alteryx
Experience working with mature or complex data pipeline environments
Experience improving operational processes and data reliability
Exposure to analytics or reporting-heavy environments
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $3,000–$5,500 USD/month
15 days of paid time off per year (vacation, personal time, and sick leave)
U.S. public holidays (typically 10–12 days/year), paid and not deducted from PTO
