Our client is a fast-growing, Los Angeles-based DTC eyewear brand known for its premium aesthetic and strong presence across celebrities, athletes, and influencers. The company operates as a lean, high-performance team focused on scaling growth channels and building a strong creator-driven revenue engine.
We are hiring a Senior Video Editor to be the engine behind our paid social creative output. This person will edit, finish, and ship the short-form video ads that fuel our growth on TikTok and Meta, working from raw UGC footage, creator content, and in-house production and turning it into ads that perform.
This is a high-output, high-craft seat. We are not looking for someone who can do one or the other. The right person ships 20+ polished variants per month, knows exactly why a hook lands in the first two seconds, and treats post-production as a system rather than a series of one-off projects.
This role reports to the Head of Growth and works cross-functionally with our creative producer, paid media team, and influencer leads.
The end-to-end post-production pipeline for paid social, from raw footage to delivered, platform-native ad variants
High-volume short-form video output for Meta and TikTok in 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5, with captions, safe zones, and platform specs handled cleanly every time
Editing UGC creator footage and in-house shoots into branded paid ads that keep the rawness of UGC where it works and bring polish where it counts
Variant testing at scale, including cutting multiple hooks, lengths, and CTAs from the same source footage so the paid team can test what wins
Motion graphics, kinetic typography, product feature overlays, and price or offer treatments that elevate the cut without slowing the pipeline
Color grading, sound design, and music selection that move ads from competent to scroll-stopping
A clean, version-controlled asset library so footage, b-roll, music, and finished cuts are findable months later
Speed and craft together: 20 to 30 polished, on-brand variants shipped per month
AI-native production workflow with fluency in tools like Runway, Topaz Video AI, ElevenLabs, Descript, and CapCut’s AI features that compress editing cycles
Performance literate: reads Meta and TikTok ads data, understands which hooks held attention, and brings that signal into the next round of edits
Trend-aware without being a copycat, with the ability to recreate or remix a viral format the week it lands, on-brand
Frame-level discipline on hooks, beat cuts, and pacing, with an editor’s instinct for when to add a cut and when to let a moment breathe
3+ years editing short-form video for DTC e-commerce, performance marketing, or social-first content
Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with comfort in CapCut for platform-native formats
Strong portfolio of paid social video work, with examples of ads tied to measurable performance
Sound design and music sync that match brand tone and platform context
Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager at the level of reviewing creative-level performance
Discipline around file management, naming conventions, and version control across large project libraries
English fluency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to work async across time zones
Reports directly to the Head of Growth
Fully remote role
Must have significant overlap with US Pacific Time working hours
