With a strong and loyal audience, they are transforming how accounting professionals learn, engage, and scale their businesses.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Video Editor who combines technical mastery with strong storytelling instincts. You’ll own the editing process for a high-volume video podcast and transform long-form content into engaging short-form clips for YouTube and social media. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly reliable—someone who can work autonomously while consistently delivering polished, high-quality content.
You Will:
- Edit long-form video podcasts (2x per week, ~1 hour each) using established templates and workflows.
- Clean raw footage by removing filler words, pauses, and errors while maintaining natural flow.
- Insert intros, ads, segment headers, and other structured elements with precision.
- Create engaging thumbnails using Photoshop or Canva with strong visual design principles.
- Identify or receive key podcast moments and transform them into high-performing short-form clips.
- Add B-roll, motion graphics, and text overlays to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
- Develop compelling hooks and pacing for YouTube-style clips aligned with brand voice.
- Research relevant visuals (e.g., software, companies, workflows) to support content with accurate B-roll.
- Collaborate with the post-production supervisor and occasionally with producers/writers.
- Publish final content and implement feedback from review cycles.
About You:
Your Background:
- 2+ years of experience in video editing, ideally focused on podcasts, YouTube, or social media content.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience editing for influencers, thought leaders, or personal brands.
- Solid understanding of YouTube content structure, pacing, and audience retention.
- Experience creating thumbnails using Photoshop or Canva.
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, motion graphics, and engaging hooks.
- Excellent written English skills (for graphics, captions, and clarity).
- Comfortable working in a remote, async environment using Slack and Notion.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage deadlines and adapt to flexible schedules when needed.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with short-form content (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels).
- Background in branding, marketing, or content growth strategies.
- Familiarity with U.S. humor and cultural nuances.
- Experience working with business, finance, or SaaS-related content.
- Ability to step into more advanced editing roles (e.g., main channel content) over time.
- Motion graphics experience or advanced visual storytelling skills.
