Our client is a U.S.-based software company in the adtech space, helping businesses manage and optimize advertising operations. They are a small but established business with a collaborative environment, and this role will support the finance function as the company strengthens its accounting operations and prepares for a transition from a long-tenured part-time team member.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an Accountant who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a hands-on, adaptable mindset. You’ll support core accounting operations, own day-to-day transactional work in QuickBooks, and help with basic balance sheet close activities. This role requires someone who is proactive, responsive, comfortable in a small-business environment, and able to communicate clearly in English while collaborating closely with the hiring manager and internal teams.

You Will:

• Manage accounts payable and invoice entry in QuickBooks
• Support billing and assist with collections-related follow-up when needed
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Record cash activity and maintain accurate accounting records
• Support balance sheet close activities, including prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
• Maintain spreadsheets and supporting schedules tied to close processes
• Help own QuickBooks reporting and transaction processing
• Participate in team meetings, huddles, and occasional cross-functional projects
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and, when needed, make basic customer follow-up calls regarding invoices or collections
• Support a future migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

About You:

Your Background:

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a hands-on role

• Strong understanding of core accounting processes, including AP, invoicing, reconciliations, cash activity, and balance sheet support

• Experience using QuickBooks Online or strong familiarity with QuickBooks

• Comfort working with basic balance sheet accounting, including prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals

• Solid Excel skills for maintaining schedules and supporting reconciliations

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Comfortable working in a distributed, English-speaking environment

• Able to operate effectively in a small-business setting where flexibility and ownership matter

• Proactive and hands-on

• Responsive and dependable

• Comfortable stepping beyond narrow task ownership when needed

• Adaptable and able to support special projects

• Confident communicator who can join meetings and collaborate across teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Experience supporting or participating in a QuickBooks Desktop-to-Online migration
• Experience in a small business or lean finance environment
• Exposure to billing, collections, and customer-facing accounting communication
• Background in companies where accounting teams support broader operational needs

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: $3,000–$3,500 USD/month
