Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Content Writer to join our team. This role involves writing high-end legal content for clients in the US, primarily for attorneys serving businesses (B2B). The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, engaging articles. This is a flexible, part-time position that has the potential to grow into a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Write high-level articles on legal developments and business issues, targeting an audience of attorneys.
Conduct interviews with attorneys and gather the necessary information to create articles.
Prepare outlines and drafts based on interviews and research, ensuring clarity and coherence in the final content.
Edit and proofread content, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring articles are client-ready.
Use Google Docs for document preparation and collaborate with the team as needed.
Potentially grow into a client-facing role, interviewing attorneys and writing articles based on those interactions.
Requirements
Legal background (lawyer, legal analyst, or paralegal) with the ability to understand and process legal concepts.
Experience writing for legal or business audiences, especially in a content marketing context.
Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft clear and engaging content.
Familiarity with legal writing in the US market is a plus, but not a requirement.
Experience conducting interviews and gathering detailed information.
Comfortable using Google Docs and basic note-taking software (e.g., Otter AI, Fathom).
Flexibility to start part-time (10 hours per week) with potential to grow to 20-30 hours per week.
