Overview

The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for onboarding and credentialing new employees and maintaining ongoing compliance.   The position manages the personnel files and other employment-related documentation, ensuring that all documents are up to date. The Credentialing Coordinator also maintains, distributes, and tracks reporting related to employee records and communicates as necessary with the Operations and Clinical teams.

 Responsibilities

• Verifies new employees’ credentials and runs appropriate background screenings
• Contacts employees to verify credential renewals.  Obtains other credentials from employees as necessary
• Places credentials into EHR system
• Works with hospitals and other healthcare facilities to ensure employees are credentialed according to their standards
• Stays up to date with the latest compliance standards and regulations
• Communicates with payors and facilities regarding latest employee credentials
• Submits credentials packets to hospitals and other healthcare facilities
• Assists the Clinical team in staying updated on all changes to compliance standards and regulations
• Ensures all payors have up to date lists and credentials (Behavior therapy)

Experience Requirements

• 1+ Years of relevant experience
• Fluent in English, Bilingual Spanish preferred
• Provides excellent customer services while maintaining employee and client confidentiality
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Must possess strong organizational and detailed orientation skills
• Computer literacy required, must be able to learn new software programs
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to create new organizational systems
