This is a fully remote role to work for one of our clients, a US-based private equity firm. They are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will support by maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our investment operations through meticulous financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions across multiple fund entities
- Process and reconcile daily cash transactions, ensuring proper classification and documentation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all operating accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Execute journal entries with supporting documentation for various transactions including management fees, expenses, and capital calls
- Accounts Management
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment execution
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation, collection follow-up, and aging analysis
- Coordinate with portfolio companies and service providers to ensure timely payment processing
- Fund Support
- Month-end and quarter-end closing processes with detailed reconciliation work
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain organized filing systems for all accounting documentation and supporting materials
- Ensure compliance with fund agreements and regulatory requirements
- Assist with audit preparation by providing detailed transaction support and documentation
- Support tax preparation efforts by organizing and providing necessary financial data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services or investment management
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and general ledger systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP, accruals, and fundamental accounting principles and practices
- Experience with multi-entity accounting structures preferred
- Knowledge of private equity or alternative investment operations a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Professional communication skills for interaction with US-based teams and external service providers across different time zones (Eastern Time would be base time zone)
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated workspace
Perks- What's in it for you
- Compensation range: $30,000 - $42,000 per year. Please note that the final offer may vary based on the candidate's seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
