About the role

Calvary Episcopal Church is seeking a creative, mission-driven, and detail-oriented Communications & Social Media Manager to oversee and execute a wide range of communication strategies that amplify our mission and connect our church with our congregation, community, and digital audiences.

Key Responsibilities

High Priority:

• Weekly worship bulletin creation for three Sunday services (via Google Docs)
   
• Newsletter writing and distribution
   
• Social media content for Instagram and Facebook, including posts and stories
   
• Support for ads and event promotions
   

Secondary Focus:

• Google Ad Grant campaign management
   
• SEO and pay-per-click (PPC) understanding and implementation
   
• Website improvement and basic maintenance (WordPress)

Skills

• 2 years or more experience with communications or social media
• Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation. 
•  Proficiency in: Google Docs, MailChimp, Canva (or Adobe Creative Suite), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio), Video editing tools is a plus.
• Experience with Google Ad Grant or similar PPC platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with Episcopal or Anglican Church liturgy, values, and mission a strong plus. 
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills. 
• Strong project management and organizational abilities. 
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a faith-based environment. 
• A creative, flexible, and enthusiastic spirit with a pastoral sensitivity to tone and messaging. 

Working Hours

• From Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM CST.
