Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Client Growth to lead our client success initiatives and drive revenue retention and expansion for our nonprofit partners. The Client Growth Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize customer lifetime value, reduce churn, and drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling functions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Success to identify opportunities for growth and deliver exceptional value that delights our customers. This strategic leader will oversee a dedicated team, ensuring they are equipped to achieve ambitious net and gross revenue targets through world-class client care. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management
- Inspire and equip your team to achieve client growth objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide direct engagement, modeling, and coaching to support team development and individual growth.
- Design and execute playbooks for each stage of the client journey.
- Revenue Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve world-class renewal rates and ambitious expansion goals.
- Utilize deep knowledge of revenue modeling, forecasting, and attainment to drive decision-making and accountability.
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to create targeted initiatives aimed at driving customer engagement, adoption, and retention.
- Understand structured data and overall reporting methodologies to deliver key customer insights backed up by data
- Client Care and Growth Initiatives
- Improve and deliver exceptional onboarding, adoption, and ongoing education efforts to ensure clients derive maximum value from Funraise solutions.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for client expansion, ensuring alignment with their goals and ROI drivers.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize customer journey processes to enhance overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team effectiveness and client satisfaction.
- Regularly analyze client behavior, feedback, and engagement metrics to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Deliver key customer insights to the company backed up by data and clear definition of metrics
- Strategic Planning
- Translate company goals into actionable plans for the team, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all initiatives.
- Dynamically adjust & improve strategies as required to meet goals.
Requirements
- 7+ years in account management or B2B digital sales.
- 4+ years in a leadership role managing teams (4+ direct reports).
- Proven success in client retention, upselling, and revenue growth.
- Strong analytical mindset; able to interpret usage data and assess account health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Sales.
- Hands-on approach: comfortable managing accounts directly and identifying risks/opportunities.
- Able to handle high-volume portfolios (up to 200 accounts).
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiar with tools like Salesforce, ChurnZero, and Google Suite.
- Bonus: nonprofit industry experience or interest in growing into a more senior role.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 8-10 am to 6 pm CST
