Overview:
A health technology company dedicated to improving healthcare access through a cutting-edge platform is seeking a driven and talented Software Engineer. This role is part of a core team focused on building a scalable, robust, and highly secure platform that allows members real-time access to their health data. The ideal candidate is meticulous, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where their contributions will directly shape the future of the system as it scales to millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining the platform, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to brainstorm, design, and implement new features.
- Identify and address technical challenges to ensure the platform remains up-to-date and performs optimally.
- Actively participate in code review processes, providing constructive feedback.
- Serve as a mentor to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Take ownership of features and bugs from design through deployment and support.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of developing scalable and reliable systems.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with technologies including FastAPI, GraphQL, RestAPI, GCP/AWS (GCP preferred), Webhooks, Docker, Event Driven systems, Publish/Subscription patterns, Concurrency vs Parallelism, and Microservices architecture.
- Demonstrated bias toward action and ability to take initiative..
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Schedule: Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week)
- Type: 100% remote Full-Time job as a contractor
