Overview
We’re looking for a Procurement & Retail Logistics Associate who’s ready to take ownership from day one. In this role, you’ll support key areas of our operations—managing order fulfillment for retail partners, inbound logistics, and packaging procurement. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you'll help drive efficiencies, ensure product availability, and contribute to innovation and cost improvements. Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end process to fulfill purchase orders from our retail partners, including releasing inventory, outbound logistics, and invoicing
Work closely with our Suppliers, Distribution Centers and Carriers to ensure on time, in full, in quality supply of all products
Manage inbound logistics to our Distribution Centers, with a focus on cost effective transportation for all ingredients, packaging, and marketing materials.
Place purchase orders and track inventory levels and ensure proper safety stock coverage based on our forecast for our packaging category
Help build and maintain our supply plan and share forecasts with our suppliers
Leverage available data and reports to understand ops performance and drive changes/insights based on those insights
Work on initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our inbound supply chain processes, including supporting waste management and cost savings opportunities
Complete regular reporting on various metrics such as inventory health or supplier performance KPIs
Partner closely with members across The Pets Table and HelloFresh Group
Contribute to our mission of helping pets live a happier, healthier life by changing the way they eat!
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in supply chain or procurement operations
Advanced Excel and analytical skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SPS) — a strong plus
Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) — a plus
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
Quick to learn new tools and systems such as Warehouse Management and EDI portals
Thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured, and high-growth environment
Proactive, ambitious, and assertive — you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of your role
Highly organized and detail-oriented — you never miss a deadline and can juggle multiple priorities with ease
Possess the ability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with flexibility to respond to occasional off-hour needs if urgent situations arise.
