Our client is a company that provides transformative mental health care using cutting-edge, insurance-covered treatments. As they continue to expand, they are looking for an Administrative Billing Assistant to support their growing operations.
About the Role
As an Administrative Billing Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in managing billing tasks, answering insurance-related queries, and supporting general administrative needs across the organization. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of billing operations while maintaining organized records and providing exceptional administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute billing tasks, including updating trackers in Google Sheets and ensuring timely action completion.
- Field insurance-related phone calls and respond to billing-related emails from stakeholders.
- Follow up with insurance providers daily to resolve billing issues and escalate delays to management as needed.
- Provide support for general administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and organizing records.
- Verify patient insurance details and billing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Update patient management systems (GHL) with billing statuses and relevant information.
- Collaborate with clinicians, staff, and management to address billing and administrative needs.
- Maintain organized records of billing and administrative activities per documented processes.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing repetitive tasks and multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) for phone and email communication.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (especially Google Sheets) for data management.
- Ability to learn new software quickly and work independently during EST hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Desired Skills
- Experience in administrative or billing roles within healthcare.
- Familiarity with insurance processes or healthcare billing terminology.
- Background in a mental health or specialty medical practice.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance basics.
