This is a fully remote role to work for one of our US-based clients in the food and beverage industry. They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll operations with a high level of accuracy and compliance. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, timeliness, and precision of multi-state payroll activities. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with payroll systems (preferably ADP), strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities
- Administer semi-monthly and off-cycle payrolls across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Calculate and validate payroll components such as earnings, deductions, withholdings, retroactive pay, leave adjustments, and salary changes.
- Review and approve payroll inputs, including timesheets, bonuses, commissions, and other updates, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices, proactively adjusting processes to maintain compliance.
- Lead payroll-related compliance activities and audits, identifying opportunities for process improvement while upholding regulatory standards and internal controls.
Requirements
- Senior-level hands-on payroll experience, preferably with experience in platforms such as ADP or similar payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements in the US.
- Familiarity with payroll accounting principles, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or comparable systems).
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Advanced English level, spoken and written.
Perks- What's in it for you
- Compensation range: $30,000 - $39,600 per year. Please note that the final offer may vary based on the candidate's seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
