Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team and manage the full accounts payable process. You will be responsible for handling vendor invoices, processing payments, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable inbox, review and process vendor invoices and statements.
• Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts, obtaining proper approvals.
• Reconcile accounts payable balances and work with teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Assist with month-end close and provide accounts payable data for reporting.
• Identify process improvements and streamline workflows.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on accounts payable procedures.
   

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in manufacturing or CPG environments.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable best practices (invoice coding, approval workflows, payment processing).
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Experience with accounts payable software (e.g., Bill.com, Tipalti) is a plus.
   

Compensation range: $2,000 - $2,300 per month
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time/ EST , Monday to Friday
