This is a role to work for our US-based clients, a B2C payment platform. The engineering team integrates with leading payment service providers, ensuring robust and scalable solutions that support expansion into new markets. They are focused on minimizing credit loss, reducing customer friction, and handling payment-related data
with the highest security standards. Be part of a team that delivers a world-class payment platform, enabling smooth transactions for millions of customers worldwide. While the team will have a strong backend focus, they will also possess the capability to contribute to frontend development when necessary.
This role will begin in a fully remote format, but is eventually moving to a hybrid format as the company is building a hub in Bogotá, Colombia.
Technical Stack:
- Java
- Spring Boot

- React (at least intermediate level is desired)
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in back-end development, strong proficiency in back-end programming principles
- Experience with Java and Spring
- Experience with Databases: SQL, data modeling and query optimization
- Familiarity with DevOps practices: Continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD), containerization (Docker, K8s)
- Experience with testing: Unit testing, integration testing
- Understanding of system design and architecture: design patterns, microservices
- Architectural Expertise: Designs and implements scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems with a strong focus on long-term impact and quality
- Has knowledge and practical experience with secure coding practices and knows how to ensure protection against common vulnerabilities
- Nice to have: Experience with Kotlin programming language.
- Nice to have: Previous experience working with financial systems / billing
