Overview
As Automation Specialist you’ll be the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring our clients’ email and SMS programs are built for performance and scale. You’ll own the technical execution of automations, optimize deliverability, and provide data-driven recommendations to maximize engagement and revenue.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly technical, thrives on solving complex deliverability challenges, and is passionate about driving results through automation. You won’t just maintain flows—you’ll continuously iterate, improve, and implement cutting-edge strategies that push lifecycle marketing forward.
Responsibilities:
Automation & Lifecycle Execution
Build, test, and optimize automated email and SMS flows using platforms like Klaviyo, Iterable, and Braze.
Develop robust segmentation strategies to improve personalization and engagement.
Monitor flow performance, analyze key metrics, and refine automations for maximum impact.
Ensure all campaign tracking (UTMs, conversion pixels, attribution) is set up correctly.
Deliverability Monitoring & Optimization
Use tools like GlockApps, Google Postmaster Tools, and Klaviyo’s built-in analytics to monitor and improve inbox placement.
Troubleshoot and resolve deliverability challenges such as spam filtering, IP warming, and domain reputation issues.
Create deliverability reports and provide actionable recommendations to enhance performance.
Client Strategy & Execution
Act as a trusted automation and deliverability expert for assigned client accounts.
Work directly with clients to align their automation strategy with broader business goals.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize flows, improve deliverability, and drive incremental revenue.
Clearly communicate technical insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work cross-functionally with strategists, copywriters, and designers to ensure automation projects are executed to perfection.
Document best practices and contribute to internal playbooks on automation and deliverability.
Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously test new strategies to improve automation performance.
Requirements
3-5 years experience in lifecycle marketing, email/SMS automation, or deliverability.
Technical expertise in Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, or similar platforms, with a strong understanding of automation logic and segmentation.
Deep knowledge of deliverability and inbox placement optimization, including domain/IP reputation management.
Strong analytical skills – Able to dissect data, identify trends, and implement performance-driven strategies.
