Overview
As Performance Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in growing DTC revenue, with a primary focus on improving new customer acquisition and website performance. This role will oversee direct-to-consumer growth marketing, website merchandising, conversion rate optimization, and support paid media and comms within the DTC department. You’ll focus on finding the right audiences and converting into buyers through best-in-class landing pages and product pages.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between a pure growth marketing mindset and that of a hands-on Shopify expert who geeks out over improving metrics like revenue per session and units shipped per order. You’re not afraid to do the work that is required to deliver exceptional customer experiences on the Shopify platform, and you have a deep understanding of how to optimize the Shopify app ecosystem for growth.
Responsibilities
- Performance Marketing / Website Optimization (60%)
- Use data-driven insights and actions to improve new customer acquisition, AOV, subscription adoption, and channel marketing spend.
- Develop landing pages and optimize website merchandising to align with acquisition tactics, influencer partnerships, and profitability.
- Build, implement and manage the CRO/testing roadmap
- Collaborate with Brand & DTC stakeholders to meet Brand & Promotional objectives
- Assist in developing annual DTC promotion calendar
- Support product listings & content management
- Coordinate web development and technical roadmap
- Analytics & Reporting related to DTC operations (30%)
- Develop and maintain off-platform performance dashboards for paid media and acquisition
- Support paid media agency through ownership of paid media analytics and marketing attribution
- Analyze paid media outcomes to provide actionable insights and improve budget allocation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing Shopify websites
- CPG industry experience required (nutrition/supplement experience preferred)
- Proven track record of optimizing cross-channel media campaigns through Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and other media buying platforms.
- Deep understanding of performance marketing, site merchandising, optimizing customer journeys, and unit economics in the DTC sales channel.
- Experience working directly with agencies and web developers in alignment with technical roadmaps and project management.
- 3+ years of experience working in a complex omni-channel business, ensuring that inventory and demand planning align with promotional calendars and sales velocity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and follow best-practices in Shopify back-end management, with discerning eye on apps that drive revenue expansion.
- Experience with analytics tools like Triple Whale, Daasity, Shopify Analytics, or similar platforms.
