The Opportunity:
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll blend your technical, consulting, and business development acumen to shape and execute eCommerce solutions for global brands. Initially focused on Shopify, this role will expand to other platforms and technologies as we evolve.
You’ll engage in pre-sale and post-sale activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and be a trusted partner to their clients—helping them scale their online businesses.

What You’ll Do:
1. Pre-Sale & Post-Sale Leadership
Collaborate with the sales team to qualify and close deals by providing expert consultation on technical requirements.
Lead discovery sessions to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
Collaborate closely with the delivery team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure milestones and commitments are met. Maintain strong client relationships to enable ongoing partnerships and upselling opportunities.
2. Solution Architecture & Delivery
Leverage full-stack development skills (front-end and back-end) to design and implement robust eCommerce solutions primarily on Shopify/Shopify Plus (and, over time, BigCommerce and other platforms).
Create customized demos, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes that showcase functionality aligned with client objectives.
Ensure solutions meet best practices in performance, security, accessibility, and scalability.
3. Client Relationship Management
Serve as the technical advisor for customer engagements.
Provide clear, concise project updates to stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
Advocate for customer needs with internal teams and proactively propose enhancements or new services.
4. Collaboration & Thought Leadership
Partner with cross-functional teams—Sales, Product, and R&D—to align on current capabilities and future roadmap initiatives.
Participate in webinars, in-person events, and speaking engagements to showcase the client’s solutions and thought leadership.
Mentor and coach sales teams on the technical aspects of our offerings, keeping them updated on industry trends and competitive differentiators.
5. Continuous Improvement
Contribute to process improvements, development methodologies, and internal best practices.
Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in eCommerce and SaaS.
Requirements:
3 - 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, full-stack development, or solutions delivery, ideally within the Shopify or BigCommerce ecosystem.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong expertise with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Express.js).
Familiarity with Liquid templating on Shopify or similar frameworks.
Hands-on knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs for enterprise integrations.
Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.
● Project Management Skills:
Comfortable with the entire SDLC and closely liaising with development teams.
Hands-on experience with agile or sprint-based methodologies.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
Business Acumen:
Skilled at identifying new business opportunities, forging client relationships, and expanding existing accounts.
Adept at communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
Soft Skills:
Fluent in English, with an engaging tone.
Customer-centric mindset, high integrity, ownership, and a voracious appetite to learn.
Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, ever-changing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills (Spanish, French, German, etc.) are a plus.
