Overview of the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to lead and oversee software development projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management methodologies and software development processes. You will be responsible for coordinating engineers, creating costings and estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to delivery.
- Collect and document requirements from stakeholders.
- Ensure all project milestones and approvals are completed on schedule.
- Maintain project timelines and roadmaps using tools like Jira, Asana, or Monday.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and team productivity.
- Manage customer support escalations and prioritize resolutions.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and product teams to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate bi-weekly releases and ensure smooth software deployment.
- Handle urgent "hotfixes," balancing speed, cost, and quality.
- Supervise QA processes, including test case reviews and validation.
- Lead compliance and audit initiatives, such as SOC2 and policy reviews.
Skills
- Proficient in release management practices and tools.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Experience with Kanban or Agile methodologies for project management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate people in a multi-cultural environment
- Ability to analyze complex problems and propose potential scheduling and work plans effectively.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and best practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid drive to document and maintain up-to-date sources of information
