Role Overview
Our client, a leading innovator in the fintech space, is seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Support Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of operations, infrastructure, and customer support, ensuring the reliability and optimization of their payments API platform and blockchain projects.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve Platform API issues through technical analysis, including log investigation, database queries, and reading code across multiple stacks (.Net, Go, Rust, Node.js, React.js).
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines for payment processing and blockchain services.
- Develop and maintain observability solutions, including metrics, logging, and tracing, to improve platform performance and incident detection.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve technical problems and improve reliability.
- Support automated testing, infrastructure development, and scalable standards.
- Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and overall engineering excellence.
- Work on diverse initiatives across customer segments and technical problem types.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or technical support roles.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., DataDog, Sentry).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially in GitLab.
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with database operations (PostgreSQL, Redis).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with incident response and on-call responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in financial services or payments infrastructure.
- Knowledge of blockchain technologies and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with payment systems (Visa/MC, US ACH & wires, CA Interac, cross-border wires).
- Proficiency with Cloudflare.
- Experience with .NET Core and Go environments.
- Customer-facing technical support experience.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
