Our client, developed by a venture-backed technology firm based in Silicon Valley, is recognized as a leader in construction pricing data and is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their team.
As a Senior AI Engineer, the role involves:
Designing, fine-tuning, and optimizing large language models (LLMs) to deliver AI solutions that are contextually accurate and aligned with business and customer goals. This position requires both technical expertise and a strong focus on user needs, with responsibilities spanning from model development to real-world deployment.
- Develop and Fine-Tune LLMs: Enhance model responses using prompt engineering to ensure high performance and contextual relevance in NLP applications.
- Optimize and Monitor Model Performance: Create evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, iterating on prompts and parameters to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency.
- Build Scalable Data Pipelines: Develop end-to-end pipelines for customer analysis and monitoring, applying AI/ML methods to transform raw data into actionable insights.
- Integrate AI Models Seamlessly: Deploy machine learning models in production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business applications.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure AI-driven solutions meet business goals and deliver user value.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in machine learning, focusing on NLP, prompt engineering, and model optimization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in frameworks like FastAPI, LangChain, and Langfuse, with expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL, vector databases, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and NLP classification tasks. Familiarity with multi-agent workflows (Swarm, LangGraph) is a plus.
- Product-Focused Mindset: Strong commitment to creating impactful, user-centered AI solutions.
- Data Engineering Skills: Expertise in managing data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, SQL, and cloud data services (e.g., Amazon S3, Redshift, Data Lakes).
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business and product objectives.
- Adaptability: Excels in fast-paced environments, balancing rapid iteration with delivering high-quality results.
- Startup Experience: Prior experience in a startup environment is essential.
