An opportunity exists for a Human Resources Generalist for one of our US-based clients. In this role, you would provide essential support in compliance, benefits, employee relations, and customer service, while assisting with employee-related issues, including disciplinary actions, FMLA, and workers' compensation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the administrative team, including front desk operations, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for team member inquiries on PTO, FMLA, benefits, and related topics.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving employee concerns; manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
- Support leadership in achieving organizational goals and initiatives.
- Lead work safety initiatives and ensure OSHA/CALOSHA compliance.
- Use advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills to manage HR data and generate reports.
- Remain composed and effective in problem-solving under pressure.
- Maintain employee records and address inquiries within ADP Workforce Now.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires.
- Update and maintain the company org chart and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with HR regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits (monthly, quarterly, annual) to uphold data accuracy.
- Perform other HR duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant experience in HR, with experience in employee relations and benefits administration.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- High confidentiality in handling sensitive HR matters.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with ADP payroll systems is preferred.
- Available to work 11 AM to 8 PM (ET).
