This is a fully remote role for our US-based client in the food and beverages industry. They are growing quickly in this highly-competitive environment and are leaders in the industry. As part of the Logistics Team, you'll help clients' daily business operations to enable their success.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert shipping guidance and support to clients.
- Obtain competitive shipping quotes from international freight forwarders and domestic trucking companies.
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation and regulatory compliance for seamless customs clearance.
- Monitor international container shipments from origin to final destination.
- Collaborate with U.S. Customs brokers on ISF, FDA, CBMA, and other clearance processes.
- Maintain comprehensive records for both international and domestic inbound shipments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customs, port, and domestic freight issues.
- Keep clients updated on the status of inbound shipments.
- Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Manage inbound inventory data, including identifying and setting up new SKUs for inbound purchase orders.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries and receiving with 3PL warehouse partners.
- Arrange local and cross-country domestic freight for supplier pickups, warehouse transfers, and returns to vendor (RTVs).
- Work closely with order fulfillment and inventory departments to ensure timely and accurate product movement.
- Track and resolve shipping-related inventory discrepancies, such as mis-shipments, returns, and corrections.
- Process inventory adjustments for inbound purchase orders, including handling damages, losses, and SKU changes.
- Assist with reconciling inventory records and resolving variances.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in import/export and domestic logistics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot shipping-related issues.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency on time-sensitive tasks.
- Consistent follow-up and follow-through on key issues.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in customer service and client interaction.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle high volumes of emails and communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Typing speed of 45+ words per minute (desired).
