An opportunity exists for an HR Generalist for one of our clients, an importing and distribution platform from the US. This person's core responsibilities are related to compliance and benefits administration. The HR Generalist also provides excellent customer service, reporting, and compliance support.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as one of the primary contacts for internal team member requests related to payroll profiles, PTO accruals, FMLA requests and planning, etc.
- Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing. Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (desired) and related benefits or employee benefits administration experience.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheet knowledge.
- Experience using different Google Workspace products (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc)
- Capability of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of HR-related tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with family, medical and other time off regulations is desired.
- Knowledge of benefits programs, including medical assistance and social security.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
