About the role
As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, driving the company towards fiscal stability and strategic growth. With extensive experience in accounting, particularly in the fast-paced tech industry, you'll be key in developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing processes. Your keen attention to detail and expertise in financial analysis will be crucial in navigating complex financial landscapes, significantly contributing to the company's ongoing success and expansion.
Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants, facilitating audits and tax filings.
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, including those specific to supply chain and logistics, and communicate potential impacts to management.
- Monitor and analyze financial aspects of the hardware supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation.
- Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development within the accounting team.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in the technology industry or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Understanding of hardware supply chain operations, including cost accounting, inventory management, and logistics financial analysis.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff members.
