This is a US-based company that specializes in accounting services for direct care, including nursing homes, assisted living, and memory care facilities. They focus on understanding their clients' unique financials and providing tailored accounting support.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a motivated Accountant to maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded. This is a client-facing role where the Accountant will have 1 or 2 clients on their own! This person will be supported by a bookkeeper and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Update and replicate recurring financial transaction schedules.
• Create new financial transactions and schedules under minimal supervision. 
• Analyze the Profit and loss statement accuracy and trends. 
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and research if there are differences.
• Perform ad hoc projects with minimal supervision and direction. 

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the accounting field. 
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. 
• ​​​​​​​Experience preparing Financial Statements.
• Ability to apply and follow policies and procedures. 
• Understand how transactions work in the general ledger.
• Experience with balance sheets, journal entries, debits, and credits
• Intermediate understanding of Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
• Ability to learn various accounting software products. 
• Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• A keen eye for detail and analytical thinking skills.
