This is a role for our client, a pet food & nutrition company that makes organic, highly effective, and limited-ingredient pet supplements for dogs and cats.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Logistics Coordinator. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of orders and logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in coordinating logistics with third-party logistics (3PL) partners
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive order records, including freight documentation and order details.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to facilitate timely order fulfillment and shipment to customers.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight partners and carriers.
- Solicit freight quotes to negotiate and secure competitive rates.
- Maintain and establish new relationships with our current and future carriers.
- Input shipment information into 3PL's software system (e.g., WMS).
- Monitor 3PL performance, including order accuracy and shipping timelines.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies with 3PL partners and internal inventory team.
- Collect and distribute various freight documents to external partners, including Packing Lists, BOLs, PODs, etc.
- File claims for lost or damaged inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order management, EDI administration, and coordination with 3PL partners.
- Knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures, including regulatory requirements governing transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
What’s in it for you?
- Compensation in US dollars, ranges from $1,500 - 1,800 per month, depending on the experience
- Schedule: 9 am to 5pm Central Time
