Role overview
As our client continues to grow, they need support on the backend of their business operations. We are looking for a legal and compliance ops wizard who will bolster their operations and administrative frameworks, ensuring their business operations remain seamless and on the cutting edge. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional eye for detail, masterful multitasking abilities to juggle multiple priorities flawlessly, and a knack for communicating effectively and gracefully under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Corporate Document Management. Organize, maintain, and update corporate documents, including incorporation documents, contracts, and resolutions. Ensure all documents are securely stored, accessible, and their required metadata is captured for search and reporting.
- Compliance Management. Monitor compliance with state and federal laws where the company operates. Prepare and file annual reports, licenses, and other regulatory documents. Stay abreast of changes in legislation that may affect the company.
- Contract Lifecycle Management. Help with the day-to-day contract review and negotiations and create an organization for the existing and future contracts.
- Contract Management. Set up and manage workflows for the drafting, review, approval, and execution of contracts. Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to ensure contracts are completed in a timely manner. Maintain a database of all contracts and critical dates.
- Financial audit support. Assist in preparing Stedi’s financial audit by securing supporting documentation as requested by auditors; help the process move forward by communicating with outside parties.
- Product preparedness. Provide administrative oversight and execution for the essential product operations.
- Legal Research. Conduct legal research as needed to support compliance and corporate governance. Provide summaries and recommendations on legal findings.
- Process Improvement. Continuously assess and improve workflows and processes related to document management, compliance, and contract administration to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Liaison. Act as a point of contact for legal and regulatory inquiries related to corporate administration. Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory agencies, and other external parties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience in a corporate administration or paralegal role with a strong focus on legal processes and compliance.
- Contact lifecycle management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal laws regarding corporate governance and compliance.
- Ability to manage many concurrent open threads without dropping balls; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Graceful communicator and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties.
- Proficient in the use of document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Ironclad preferred.
Compensation: 4,000 - 5,000 per year
Work schedule: 9 am to 5 pm local time
