Senior Accountant - Part-time ($1,500 - $2,100 Monthly)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll processes including salary, hourly, and variable compensation payments every two weeks. Review timesheets, ensure accuracy in payroll, benefits, 401(k), and tax payments, and collaborate with payroll provider/HR platform for consistency and timeliness.
• Calculate and enter commission data accurately into payroll and accounting systems, considering different commission structures and tiers.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable tasks such as entering invoices for payment, issuing vendor-specific virtual credit cards, monitoring spend limits, and reconciling statements.
• Assist in month-end close by consolidating revenue, expense, and accrual data, ensuring timely closure, and reporting any issues promptly.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statement packages for investors and upload them to their secure portals.
• Manage revenue recognition processes by pulling insurance carrier commission statements.
• Review insurance carrier commission statements for accuracy and collaborate with departments to pull necessary reports.
• Assist with gathering documents related to annual audits, taxes, and compliance with insurance requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred)
• Proficiency in payroll processing and compliance
• Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and month-end close procedures
• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Trinet HR Services platform (preferred)
