Company Overview:
Our client is a leading asset management firm specializing in managing investments across various companies and entities. They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the team. This position is fully remote and will report directly to the Controller.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and reports for multiple companies, including project-specific LLCs and affiliated entities within the asset management firm. This position involves meticulous bookkeeping, financial report generation, and acting as the initial reviewer of financial reports from subsidiaries and other affiliated companies before submission to the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bookkeeping duties for various companies, LLCs, and affiliated entities within the asset management firm.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by the Controller and CFO.
- Act as the first filter for financial reports received from subsidiaries and other entities, ensuring compliance with established financial policies and standards.
- Collaborate with the Controller to resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the review process.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to the Controller and CFO promptly.
- Assist in coordinating financial audits and provide necessary documentation to external CPAs.
- Utilize advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Desktop for efficient and accurate financial data management.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations to maintain financial integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial record management.
- Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Desktop Advanced.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
Working hours:
- 9 am to 6.30 pm from Monday to Thursday
- 9 am to 3 pm on Friday
