Job Summary
The Healthcare Staffing Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the verification and maintenance of all credentials for travel nurses and allied health professionals employed by our client. This role ensures that each healthcare professional meets all necessary qualifications and compliance standards before they are assigned to healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Credential Verification: Verify the credentials of healthcare professionals, including licenses, certifications, education, and work history.
Compliance Management: Ensure all healthcare professionals meet state, federal, and facility-specific compliance requirements.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all healthcare professionals’ credentials and compliance statuses.
Communication: Work with healthcare professionals to obtain necessary documentation and provide guidance on credentialing requirements.
Audit Preparation: Prepare and assist in internal and external audits related to credentialing.
Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to credentialing policies and procedures as per industry standards and regulations.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in credentialing documentation.
Continuous Education: Stay updated with changes in credentialing processes, healthcare regulations, and compliance standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment and placement teams to ensure smooth and timely staffing of healthcare professionals.
