Our client is a strategic finance partner for scaling consumer brands. CEOs, founders, and team leaders use their platform to understand what’s happening in their business, analyze results and options, make decisions, and put their plans into action. The platform is an enterprise-grade data system with a data warehouse and pipelines, pro-level analytics, a private equity quality financial model, and customizable dashboards that can combine operations and financial metrics and track progress to plans and goals on an hourly basis.
About the role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join their growing team in a fast-paced startup environment. As a Data Analyst within the Customer Success team, you will work directly with founders and other members of early stage and high-growth DTC companies to provide key insights about their business. This includes creating custom BI reports, running exploratory data analyses, building models based on client requests, and more. You will also have the unique opportunity to develop the product by improving and building data pipelines, automated predictions, and analytics platform.
Responsibilities
Work with clients to deliver insights and analysis about their business.
Transform client requests into data deliverables, such as models, data transformations, and interactive reporting.
Build standard reports for our analytics platform that will be used by every client.
Actively monitor and improve the data accuracy of the analytics platform.
Contribute to building the data pipeline that powers our analytics platform and financial model.
Collaborate with other members of the Customer Success team to share learnings about the client’s business.
Create new data product features to provide further value and automation for our clients.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in data analytics
Fantastic SQL skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members in a remote environment. Ability to effectively communicate insights, answer client questions and build connections with clients.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Proficiency using spreadsheets (Excel and/or Google Sheets).
Experience creating visualizations with a BI tool (e.g. Looker, Tableau).
Experience using R or Python (*preferred*) for analysis and modeling.
Experience or interest in the DTC, e-commerce industry is a nice-to-have!
Knowledge of financial metrics is a bonus, too!
