Our client is a strategic finance partner for scaling consumer brands. CEOs, founders, and team leaders use their platform to understand what’s happening in their business, analyze results and options, make decisions, and put their plans into action. The platform is an enterprise-grade data system with a data warehouse and pipelines, pro-level analytics, a private equity quality financial model, and customizable dashboards that can combine operations and financial metrics and track progress to plans and goals on an hourly basis.

About the role

They are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Finance Analyst to join their growing team. As a Strategic Finance Analyst at they, you will be working with their clients - growing consumer brands - and utilizing their proprietary FP&A software to provide strategic finance support. This highly-visible role offers an opportunity to work with founders, C-level executives, and other senior members from early stage and high-growth consumer goods companies. The successful candidate will have solid financial statement knowledge, financial modeling & analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to stand up and/or modify financial models using the platform.

• Assist clients in creating budgets, forecasts, and scenario-planning to achieve their business goals (for example, analyze financial statement impact of increased advertising spend in certain months, reduce inventory to increase cash runway, etc.)

• Suggest and/or make improvements to the financial models, software, or data to ensure accuracy, drive automation, and encourage client adoption of company's offerings.

• Collaborate with team members on various analyses and to improve their offerings & services to clients.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience as with FP&A, with solid accounting knowledge.

• Solid accounting and financial statement knowledge, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.

• Excel or Google Sheets proficiency

• Experience with QuickBooks, Netsuite, or other related software solutions

• Financial modeling and analysis experience, including building models from scratch.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members in a remote environment. Ability to explain financial analysis, including metrics and concepts, to clients in an easy-to-understand way.

• Experience or interest in the DTC, e-commerce industry is a nice-to-have!
