Our client has team members working worldwide. They leverage agile methodologies to move quickly and stay focused. Communication is vital, and they rely heavily on Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and GitHub to stay in sync.

You can work from anywhere but be advised that most team meetings occur between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8/-7). If you're applying from a location where these hours are outside your usual working hours, we expect you to adapt to meeting times.

Overview

We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and adaptable finance and accounting professional interested in the crypto industry. You would be working in a small team, so the ability to adapt and the desire to learn new skills is necessary. The successful candidate will not only have the finance and accounting technical chops but will also be inquisitive, flexible, and have a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct standard month-end close activities, including booking entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing work papers.

• Prepare and maintain cash reporting.

• Compile and generate financial statements for investors.

• Review and process employee expenses.

• Facilitate payments in both FIAT and Cryptocurrencies.

• Handle payroll-related tasks as needed.

• Undertake ad hoc operational work as necessary, showing flexibility and adaptability.

• Understand and embrace the dynamic nature of a small team, being willing to roll up your sleeves and perform hands-on work when required.

Requirements

• Relevant finance and accounting experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.

• Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.

• A quick learner and executor, able to grasp new concepts and implement them rapidly.

• Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.

• Ability to work with sensitive data, including maintaining confidentiality regarding employee salaries.

• Flexibility to handle a range of tasks beyond traditional accounting, showing adaptability and resourcefulness.

• A versatile problem-solver capable of independent problem-solving with minimal guidance, delivering tasks at least 80% complete.

• Willingness to engage in hands-on work, even with repetitive tasks.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software like Quickbooks is desired, but experience with other software such as Oracle or JD Edwards is highly valued.

• Crypto knowledge is highly desirable, with an interest in the crypto industry considered a positive attribute.
