We're looking for a superstar Director of Finance to join a highly talented team!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Overseeing financial operations; oversees and takes responsibility for all financial procedures and records.
⦁ Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger.
⦁ Implement, maintain and track accounting controls.
⦁ Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed.
⦁ Report on cash management and flow; provides relevant financial information to the executive management team.
⦁ Allocate and actively track costs between projects.
⦁ Develop and review quarterly and annual budgets with other management team members.
⦁ Develop and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial results inclusive of accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits.
⦁ Assist Senior Board Financial Advisor on external financial matters.
⦁ Work with other senior management team members to measure and report on KPIs.
⦁ Take on other tasks as determined by management.
MANAGEMENT DUTIES
⦁ Supervisory focus: able to ensure that members of the team are working effectively and complying with company and department procedures.
⦁ Task focus: able to identify critical issues, and rapidly adjust or obtain help (escalate) when necessary to ensure successful and timely completion
⦁ Quality/process focus: able to identify underlying causes of mistakes and quality problems, and to propose solutions, or modify procedures to resolve.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
⦁ A minimum of a BA in Accounting plus 5 - 10 years of increasing responsibility. CPA a plus.
Excellent Englsih -oral and written- skills
⦁ Strong computer skills with knowledge and experience working with billing /accounting software preferred ( Sage Intacct is a plus).
⦁ High level of competency in Excel is critical. Other Microsoft suite products are strongly desired.
⦁ Experience working in small-medium organizations that are in growth mode.
⦁ Experience with non-profit boards and their information requirements.
⦁ Willingness to mentor new management team members in standard financial practices.
