As a Leasing Consultant, you play a pivotal role as the first point of contact for potential and current residents. Your primary responsibility is to understand the needs of potential residents and demonstrate that our community meets their requirements. Your exceptional customer service and sales mentality will be vital in showcasing the value of our community features to close sales. Additionally, you will build and maintain strong relationships with both potential and current residents, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Your role will involve handling inquiries, conducting apartment tours, processing applications, and participating in outreach marketing activities.
Listen to potential residents' needs and show them available apartments to determine the best fit.
Demonstrate the value of community features to potential residents and close the sales.
Regularly follow up with potential leads to maintain engagement.
Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with both potential and current residents.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving requests, complaints, comments, and work order requests promptly.
Assist in monitoring lease renewals and ensure timely distribution and follow-up on renewal notices.
Prepare and manage all leasing paperwork and application processing, including credit checks and rental history verification.
Collaborate on special projects or activities related to property acquisition/disposition and company initiatives.
Assist with bookkeeping duties or maintenance tasks when required.
Ensure the smooth daily operations of leasing and deliver professional and timely responses and resolutions to inquiries.
Participate in rent collection procedures and associated tasks.
Attend and actively participate in training programs as required.
Regular and punctual attendance is essential for this role.
Previous experience in customer service and sales, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with potential and current residents.
Proven ability to listen and understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in using computer applications and office equipment.
Physical ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally perform tasks like bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
