Overview:
We’re looking for a Project Manager that will approve NYC DOB applications. As Project Manager you will be responsible to create filing strategies, attend meetings and conference calls, and anything else required to approve the job.
Main responsibilities
- Interface effectively with city plan examiners, architects, engineers, contractors and building owners.
- Ability to communicate and delegate building permit requirements to internal and external members of the project team.
- Maintain strict timelines for submittals and deadlines.
- Provide knowledge of New York City approval processes and requirements.
- Understand city requirements and how they may affect a potential construction project.
- Manage multiple projects at same time while providing superior customer service.
Required knowledge and background:
- Undergraduate Degree in Architecture, Business Administration or similar fields
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles
- Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC).
- Lear knowledge on the NYC DOB NOW in filing and approving alteration, alteration-CO and New Building applications. (Nice to have)
- Experience talking to clients and architects about projects.
- Experience and knowledge to read construction plans
- Ability to learn Basecamp, use Microsoft Office including Teams and Outlook
