We are a fast-growing strategic accounting, tax, and advisory firm working with 700+ small businesses in the United States. We are seeking an energetic and motivated Accountant to join our internal accounting team.
This position will be responsible for the accounting across multiple LLC and Holding companies that we operates. This position will be instrumental in financial statement preparation, compliance, billing, and reporting functions. Additional job duties will include all areas of accounting operations, managing accounting activities, supporting front line client-facing staff.
This position will report directly to the General Manager.
Involvement in all month-end and year-end closing activities of all companies
Involvement in general ledger maintenance including accruals, adjusting entries, account reconciliations, etc.
Assistance with management of the General Ledgers.
Managing intercompany activity postings and ensuring such are accurate and complete.
Identify any discrepancies in the accounts, troubleshoot origin, and make correcting entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Potential training in and backup for weekly payroll processing including certified payroll preparations, payment and reporting.
Involvement in maintenance of overhead allocations and the journal entries for the indirect cost allocations of equipment and indirect jobs.
Involvement in the validation of proper revenue recognition treatment and work in process setup.
Assist with corporate credit card reconciliation, documentation, payments and inputs.
Assist with management of banking activities to include check reviews and approvals, depositing and preparation of such and bank reconciliations.
Assist in developing, managing and improving Internal Controls.
Assist in the identification and implementation of corporate improvements when necessary.
Maintain all accounting records, policies and procedures including the storage of such as per policy.
Preparation of management reports and assist with maintenance and completion working papers.
Provide cash management and cash flow on weekly basis.
Be involved in the completion of the annual review of financial statements and review/approve any proposed adjustments, and review outside CPA firm financial statement preparations.
As needed, assist with annual insurance audits and reconciliations of labor.
Maintain communications in all respects of duties with General Manager and Senior Management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Job Cost Accounting
3-5 years of experience in accounting/Public
Computerized general ledger software experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess a strong work ethic and professional sense of integrity
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information
Possess a positive attitude and attention to detail
